Nissim Darvish, MD, DSc,


Scientific and Strategic Advisor

Nissim is a veteran of the life-sciences industry, with more than 25 years of experience covering medical technology development, corporate leadership, and investment management. Nissim was until recently a senior managing director at OrbiMed heading the OrbiMed Israel Office, raising over $500m as part of the OrbiMed Israel funds.  Before that Nissim spent eight years with Pitango the largest VC in Israel, where he was a General Partner managing life sciences investments. He started his business journey as founder and CEO of Impulse Dynamics, which he led for six years, culminating in a $250 million realization event. Following Impulse he was actively involved in founding several other MedTech and BioTech companies.
During his professional life he was actively involved in M&A transactions and in IPOs of MedTech and BioTech companies.  
Nissim currently serve as a chairman and board member of private and public, healthcare companies.  
Nissim obtained his M.D. and Ph.D. in Biophysics and Physiology from the Technion in Israel, and subsequently conducted his postdoctoral research at the N.I.H. He has published over 100 patents, authored over 20 publications, and received eight prizes and awards. He currently serves as Chairman and Director of Private and Public Biotech, MedTech and Digital health companies globally.
